What is an Open Access Journal?

Open Access (OA) is the practice of providing unrestricted access via the Internet to peer-reviewed scholarly journal articles. Our Open Access system follows Creative Commons Attribution License.

How do I submit an article for publication?

For manuscript submission, please visit the Journal webpage www.tjpps.org. Manuscript can also be submitted by email attachment to the editor.tjpps@gmail.com

What is Impact Factor? How is it calculated?

The Impact Factor, often abbreviated IF, is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to recent articles published in science and social science journals.

IF is calculated by dividing the number of citations in the Journal Citation Reports year by the total number of articles published in the two previous years.

Can I publish a review in this Journal?

There are no restrictions on the type of paper that may be published in TJPPS. Any article submitted that falls within the aims and scope of a journal will be eligible to be published in the Tropical Journal of Phytochemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Are authors required to make payment for Article Processing Charges?

The journals in Research and Reviews are in Open access format. The scientific community across the world can have a free and unlimited access to the articles published in our journals. Research and Reviews does not receive any subscription charges from its users and does not receive funding from any organization or Institutions. The Journals are solely financed by the processing charges received from authors and some academic/corporate sponsors. The processing charges are required to meet maintenance of the journals. Authors are required to make payment only after their manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Is there any page limit for writing manuscripts?

There is no page limit for regular or special issue manuscripts.

Are there any publication charges for color images and number of pages in manuscripts?

There are no specific charges for color images and number of pages. It will be charged if you opt for reprints separately.

How do I pay the article processing charges to TJPPS?

A2: You can make an APC payment via Bank Transfer, credit card. Detailed payment instructions can be found on the submission system. You can also ask the editorial assistant for any problems.

What type of format do you accept?

 Papers in MS Word is the format for submitting your paper to our Paper Submission System. After acceptance of your paper, you can send your revised paper in MS Word via e-mail to us.

Do I need to provide a signed declaration from all authors with my submission?

An author declaration form should be signed by all authors and then please send it to the Editor-in-chief via e-mail.

Do I need to submit a Cover Letter with my manuscript?

Yes, a Cover Letter is required. It can be submitted via the Paper Submission System together with the manuscript or sent to the editor-in-chief separately via e-mail. The cover letter should be a headed letter from the Corresponding Author's institution providing ...

Peer-review process

Q1: How long will it take to peer review my manuscript?

A1: It usually takes about 2-4 weeks. Please contact the Editorial Assistant if you want to know the status of your paper.

Publication

How long will it take for my paper to be available online after the acceptance?

We will try to publish your paper as early as possible, but the time between acceptance and the creation of the full text version depends on how quickly you respond to your final version. Normally, it will appear online around 4 weeks after all the publication procedures are completed.
